Good morning everyone,
How's the quarantine?
Boring right?
Well, today's topic is an open question to all of you, feel free to answer if you want :)
Everything started from this quote of
the one and only Coco Chanel.
Yesterday, my friends and I were on Skype updating each other, since I haven't heard them for sooo long.
As always, we left some time for "girls stuff" and by that I mean boys: so E. revealed she's fantasizing about her new colleague, V. told us everything about her love trip to Prague with her boyfriend (?) and I, well, simply expressed my extreme frustration and disappointment, due to my last love affair, or sort of.
Anyway, they patiently listened to my mishap, till, after some embarrassing silence, I stated:
I'm sick and tired of taking what I'm getting!
I deserve more than that, I'm better than that.
Marilyn would have agreed, right?
We spend our time justifying those men who can't satisfy our needs, who don't even listen to us, too busy for a flower, a dinner out, a surprise or even an unexpected compliment.
We have time for that, we find time for a good dinner, a spicy surprise at night when they come home from work, we cheer for them and we silently suffer for a complete wax too!
Don't you think it's time to take what's good for us?
Personally, I think this quarantine is making me understand once again how worthy I am, how much love, presence, perseverance and respect I deserve.
Maybe my stardards are too high, but I won't accept any compromise anymore.
What is this quarantine teaching about you?
Love,
Tiz.
